Buying a Home

How It All Started:

In my time here in the Fox Valley, I have purchased a total of 3 homes. During my home searches, I relied heavily on the internet in narrowing down my favorites. When I finalized my search, I would call a realtor to show me the properties I desired. In buying those 3 homes, I looked at a total of 5 homes with a realtor. The realtors I worked with received significant commissions for doing very little work. It didn’t matter if I looked at 1 or 100 homes with a realtor, they would get paid the same. Pearson Group Realty was founded on the principal that the buyer should be rewarded for doing the research that a traditional realtor might otherwise do for you.

How it works:

When you sign up to work with Pearson Group Realty, we’ll give you an incentive that’s based on the amount of time we spend with you to find your home. The more work you do, the larger the incentive! We will be there for you every step of the way in negotiating the right price for your property!

  •  If we show you 5 properties or less, you receive 1% of the purchase price back.*
  •  If we show you 6-10 properties, you receive 0.5% of the purchase price back.
  • If we show you greater than 10 properties, you receive 0.25% of the purchase price back.

How much do I get?

Let’s give some examples. Say you are a buyer, and you know what you want. I’ve shown you less than five homes, and you’ve found the one that’s right for you. You receive 1% back of the purchase price

  • On a $100,000 home, your rebate would equal $1000!
  • On a $200,000 home, your rebate would equal $2000
  • On a $300,000 home, your rebate would equal $3000!

And so on. The higher the purchase price of your home, the higher your incentive!

What’s the catch?

There is none! Pearson Group Realty is able to offer this incentive based on volume. Since you are a buyer that knows what they want, Pearson Group Realty does not have to become a taxi service driving you around to neighborhoods for days on end. Instead, you the buyer can do this work on your own time, at your own pace with no high-pressure sales person trying to force a sale By spending less time helping you find a house, we can help more individuals find a home. Also, because we are an independent agency, we don’t incur the high franchising and office fees of other real estate brokers.

Who pays for this?

When a seller lists a home with a realtor, they agree to pay a commission to sell their home. That commission is split between agent that lists your house and the agent that finds the buyer. We’re giving you a portion of our commission for the work you’ve done!

*Percentage back based on a co-operating broker commission of 2% of higher. If the cooperating broker commission is less than 2%, the rebate amount will equal the cooperating broker commission minus 1%. For example, is the cooperating broker commission is 1.8%, the rebate would be 1.8% - 1.0% = 0.8%. Buyer is required to sign a buyer agency agreement in order to receive rebate.
